"Well, HDSA has done it again! I just bought my second bike in nine months. Yes, NINE MONTHS! I saw the bike that I wanted sitting on the lot and pretty much told BOB NICHOLS to do whatever it took to make it mine. Bob got the ball rolling and the HDSA team went to work to get me financed, get my paperwork in order, get my aftermarket parts installed and get me out the door. Every time I come to HDSA, I am met with the same quality work, friendliness and professionalism of the entire HDSA team. The team is solid and all of the employees work together as one cohesive unit. This is due, in no small part, to the leadership at the dealer. Every employee seems happy to work there and that positive attitude spills over to the customer. It doesn't matter whether I am looking for clothing or safety gear, buying parts, getting work done, having a bike cleaned or just have a "What does this doo-hickey do?" question, someone is always there to help me get exactly what I want or need. I feel like royalty just walking in the front door! HDSA doesn't just hit home runs, they hit grand slams! HDSA continues to be worth the extra few miles that I drive from Jacksonville. "World Class AWESOME Service. And even that does not come close to my experience yesterday and today from the folks at St. Augustine Harley Davidson. I brought my 2009 Ultra (purchased in April) in for a 25K check-up and a noise coming from the left side I wanted checked out. The final solution was the installation of a whole new compensator. At first it was thought just the compensator bolt. After the first test ride, the noise was still there. Removal of the chain case itself showed significant bearing wear on the inner race and pressed outer race seal. Part was to arrive later with pick up on Saturday. Bill was not willing to release the motorcycle without it being in perfect condition, Rusty and Matt at the service desk found a replacement chain case in the spare parts area from a new m/c that had that part replaced with chrome. Second test ride failed and third test ride by Master Tech indicated problem was deeper. By that time it was near closing and I had to be driven home - Thanks Bob! Plan was to tear down in the morning and let me know what they found. That first call this morning was to inform me it needed a complete compensator. With none in Florida, the factory delivery was a week away. Two hours later the second call came to inform me my Ultra was repaired and ready for pick up. The entire service team seemed sincerely interested in getting me back on the road on yestersay and disappointed they could not. But they were unwilling to return a motorcycle that was not completely repaired. Saturday morning they had a customer (me) who was quite willing to wait to get the m/c repaired properly yet they began to think "out of the box" and found a new complete compensator from a new engine that had been upgraded. This is a daily rider and I am now back on the road with what I know is a solid machine for transport. Thanks to innovative thinking, persistence in troubleshooting, the expert technical repair skills, and the pride in delivering a 100% repair, the service team in St. Augustine are in my view just the best! They are World Class! Thanks again Rusty, Matt, Bill, Bob, and Robert for getting me back in the saddle today. And thank you SAHD management for your focus on (as it says at the top of the Customer Survey page) "reputation rides on service". I would like to offer a recommendation to place "world class" in front of the word "service" in your tag line."

"Hello everyone! I want to take the time to say thank you so very much to the ENTIRE staff at St Augustine Harley. You people are truely amazing. You folks have made my wife and I feel at home and part of the family since the day we first came to your store a couple weeks ago. I myself have been out of riding bikes for almost thirty years due mostly in fact of being in the Navy deploying quite regularly. I had purchased a bike for my wife about three weeks ago from a dealership here in Jacksonville and had a bad experience all the way around and we were driving around away from our immediate area to try and find people I could TRUST. I drove to Savannah and to Daytona and found the same issues I had right here in Jacksonville. But from the minute my wife and I walked into St Augustine Harley we felt "AT HOME". I explained my problems I had with my wife not being able to ride her bike due to the fact she did not fit her bike and now we have her in the PROPER BIKE FOR HER SIZE!!! AND, I now have a BEAUTIFUL bike for me! These people here in St Augustine have done a lot more than just sell me two bikes, they have gone the extra mile to ensure that we were both happy BEFORE any deal or paperwork was completed. They made us feel we were not just people to make a buck off of. I love these people and I hope I represent myself in a manner that will make them proud! Anyone can sell something/products out the door. But not everyone can win the hearts of people. I truely believe its an honor to be riding a Harley and an honor to represent the St Augustine Harley Dealership. "My Husband I and went to a nearby competitor of yours, and the sales person would not talk to me, he talked to my husband as if I was not there. I asked the sales person to talk to me because I would be riding the bike not my husband. The sales person took me in the garage area and had me get on a soft tail which was way too big and the pipes were hot, and of course just as I burned my leg, the sales person said something. WOW. The sales person was very high pressure and sold my husband a bike that was way to big for me. It just didn't fit me. I had the bike 4 weeks and never got to ride it. Here is the good part ... we took it to Mr. Bob Nichols at H-D of St. Augustine, and he took the bike on trade for a bike that fit ME! We lost a little on the bike I traded in but Bob was amazing and made this happen along with Randy the finance manager and the Owner, Clark. These guys are wonderful. Brought my new bike home, HOPPED ON, AND RODE IT! THANK YOU BOB, YOU ARE WONDERFUL. YOU TOOK MY BAD EXPERIENCE AND TURNED IT INTO A VERY HAPPY ONE. I CAN NOT SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH. So the best advice I could give to anybody that is looking for a Harley, this is the dealership to go to and the Man you want to see is BOB!"

"From the moment that I walked thru the door of your store, I was greeted by everyone in sight. This made me feel welcome right off the bat. I walked around a while looking at bikes and was not pressured by the sales staff. I approached a team member named Jay and asked him if he would like to sell a bike today. He immeadiately went to work asking me what my intrests were. Standing nearby was Randy the business manager who overheard Jay and I talking. He came over and greeted me and added that if I decided to go to a differant dealer that I should return with an estimate and he would see if he could do better. "I went to H-D of St. Augustine when a friend sent me a link to a bike that I might want to look at. I was only halfway through my endorsement class, but I went down to the dealership "just to look". My salesman, Rusty, let me sit on it and run it. (I had no endorsement yet, or I would have taken it for a test ride.) There was absolutely NO pressure to buy the bike. I was taken around the dealership and introduced to the rest of the staff. Each one stopped for a moment to chat with me. I was impressed and put a down payment on the bike so that I could come back and get it. Some items were installed on the bike for me and they even delivered it 20 miles to my house for FREE, because I was such a new rider, and I wasn't ready for Interstate riding. Most people would think that the special treatment would stop with the sale. It hasn't!! Every time I go to the dealership, I feel like I really am a part of their family. I have been to the "local Jacksonville dealership", the one with several locations...FORGET IT!! H-D of St. Augustine would still be worth the drive, even if I lived next door to the "other guys"!! So, you are probably thinking that I bought a brand-new, top-of-the-line bike, right? WRONG! I bought a blue Sportster 883. It was the least expensive bike on the lot. So maybe it was in bad shape? NOT! It is in such good shape that it is always being mistaken for a much newer bike than it is. It has fewer miles on it than newer bikes. In the four months since I got the bike and started riding, I have put almost 3,000 miles on it. I am more convinced, every time I get on it, that they got me on the right bike for me. I have enjoyed every moment I have spent on it. I watch the weather for "riding days". I have told anyone who will listen, how great they are, how wonderful the experience has been. I wish I could express just how much I love this dealership!! My next Harley will also be from H-D of St. Augustine. They are the definition of what "customer service" should be. I recommend H-D of St. Augustine. Take the drive. It's not just their reputation on the line, I'll stake my own reputation on it!"

"After stopping at a dealer in Jax, and not recieving ANY customer service, we took the short ride to HDSA. This was about a year ago (May '10). "Pete in parts is the absolute best possible business card for your dealership. Besides being a true Harley Davidson man and not just a guy behind the counter, he personifies the Harley Davidson motorcycle experience without being a neanderthal. He told how the St Augustine has been around since the 40's and how they don't laugh at the old Harleys because they appreciate where Harley Davidson came from and where they are now is because of their past- I have a '68 FLH so that's important to me. "I have been to every H-D dealership from North Florida down past Orlando; to me that would be somewhat local. The service at St. Augustine beats them all, and the staff you can't ask for no better. "Greetings, I wish to thank HDSA for getting me back on the road after my ride failed to start after getting gas. I was on my way to Biketober Fest. HDSA was thankfully nearby and I sought help. I got the help that I needed and much more. Bill and Stephen were my first contact. They made me feel welcome and assured me I would be helped. Your service department is AWESOME. I went in for my 25K service and had a few other issues that needed to be resolved. Charlie, your service writer was very good as he wrote everything down. He was even patient when I called several times to add things to it. He had provided me with pricing to affect the repairs.. The bike was completed as scheduled and he went over all of my concerns, and indicated that the repairs were all covered under warranty. I took the bike for my "Test Ride" and it rode just like it did when it was new...all the way from the initial start, clutch release, shifting and overall feel. " I have recently passed the Motorcycle Training Course. Then lost my Job. Had to cut expenses. I stll searched for my first bike or at least the Dealership that I could trust to buy my first bike upon finding steady employment. Harley-Davidson of St. Augustine will be that Dealership that I purchase my first bike. I was on my way to St. Augustine to work several Jobs. I dropped by the Harley Dealership in St. Augustine for a try. I explained my employment situation and they still gave me the attention and respect as though I were going to buy a MotorCycle that day. They gave me the information so that in the future when things turn around for me, I would drive down to St. Augustine and purchase my bike from them. I have been to Bike Dealers who just wanted the sale and could care less about the customer. I went by one dealer who I told that I did not know how to ride a Bicycle and did not know how to shift gears on any vehicle. This fool was going to deliver a 1800 cc motorcycle to my home. He would have sold Stevie Wonder a bike and a gun for self defense!!! Harley-Davidson of St. Augustine did not try to force me into a Bike I could not afford! OR the old "If You buy it today right now...now...now Sale" ... OR the "We have a Super Secret Sale that just started Right Now." There was no presure to sign anything! There was only one preasure point. "Did you the customer get the information he/she needs to purchase a bike based on knowledge? And did we provide that customer with that information? And did we treat the customer with respect and dignity?" When Harley-Davidson of St. Augustine says their "Reputation Rides on Service"... they mean it! Heck, I did not even purchase a bike, and I respect their service. If you are thinking of buying a Bike now or in the future... Please give them a try! Even if you do not purchase a Bike from them, you will learn something to help you purchase one informed. They will still treat you with the same respect. As you know, I spoke with you one afternoon at closing time and your team went and got the bike in Georgia and delivered it the following afternoon. In my visits to other dealers there was never an offer to sell anything other than what you see on the showroom floor. Let me tell you, I’m the stubborn type, and I would have waited until the 2009 models came out, driven half way across the country, or bought a used bike before I took a color or model I didn’t want. You guys demonstrated the high quality customer service that I like, especially when spending that amount of money! Equally as important to me is your honesty throughout the price negotiation and purchasing process. I manage a three million dollar annual budget for my employer and regularly negotiate multi-million dollar contracts, so I’m no stranger to numbers. In addition to my stubbornness, I’m also prone to bouts of easily taking offense and getting angry in response to what I perceive as smoke and mirrors attempts to swipe money out my pocket. For example I walked out of a Toyota dealership in St. Augustine in 2002 when trying to give them $25,000 for a new truck and vowed never to set foot on that property for the remainder of my life. Since then I have purchased two Toyota vehicles elsewhere and steered many a customer away from them by word of mouth and have not set foot on their property for service or parts or even a free hot dog. To be honest with you I fully expected those shenanigans from your dealership having heard similar tactics at the Jacksonville and Daytona Harley dealerships. So the whole time I’m talking with you guys I was looking for it, waiting for the punch line so to speak. But you guys are different. One Out-The-Door price, here are some options if you want them, here is what they cost, no pressure if you don’t want them, and no surprises with the gentleman, Randy, who processed the purchasing paperwork. Everyone demonstrated upright honesty and integrity that I want when I do business. Prior to purchasing, I thought about your dealership being in between two large markets and especially near the worlds largest. I thought these guys, if they are smart, have to realize that they must do something different in order to compete and survive in business, especially in this market. I saw your local TV commercials and it seemed like that is the message you were trying to get out as well. You proved to me that are smart business people through no BS pricing, no smoke and mirrors added on fees, and outstanding customer service. I knew as soon as I saw that you would go through the effort to get the bike I wanted, your family-like environment with all the people in the dealership, and the fact that your sales people were long term employees, that this is the place I want to do business. At the other dealerships the salespeople had actually written their names on generic business cards! That means either they haven’t been there very long or the dealership isn’t very sure if they are going to work out as an employee to invest $9.95 in a box of a thousand business cards! That’s very telling to what kind of business they are running. I look forward to a long relationship with you and your dealership, and I will steer people who know and trust me by word of mouth to your dealership for motorcycles, parts, and apparel. " H-D picks up the tab. A couple of years ago I purchased my current H-D. When I was purchasing the extended warranty Lon told me about the Road Hazard insurance that was available. Fortunately for me I purchased it and have had peace of mind ever since. Last week I picked up a nail in my rear tire and H-D’s Road Hazard picked up the tab. Not only did H-D pick up the tab for the tire and its installation but the towing as well. I am in HOG heaven!"

"I was looking to purchuse my first Harley. I had been to 2 different dealerships in North Florida. The experience was not all that good. While sitting at the red light near your dealership, I decided to give it one more try. And I left with a used Road King. It was a pleasure to deal with Bill Nichols. He was very easy to deal with and went out of his way to help out even staying late on New Year's Eve so I could leave with the bike. Also, I met Clark Vitulli, one of the owners, he even stayed too. "Sometimes it pays to listen to your Harley-Davidson salesman. I am serious! When I was going over the paperwork to purchase my Harley FLHR from Harley Davidson of St. Augustine in August, Randy Smith suggested that I consider the Harley-Davidson Extended Service Plan. He spent a few minutes explaining the benefits of such a plan but I was hesitant to take his advice. After going over other options for my Road King, he came back to the Extended Service Plan. Well, he had talked me into it, and I signed up. You know, there are sometimes in your life that despite it all, you make an excellent decision. This was the case with the Extended Service Plan! In October, my wife and I went to Biketoberfest on Thursday and enjoyed all the festivities then returned home on Thursday night because of the kids (a Beagle and two Pomeranians). Friday morning, we again departed Vilano Beach for a day in Daytona. In late afternoon, it was time again for the trek back to Vilano and we headed up A1A. When we got to Marineland, my wife’s nephew and his girlfriend pulled up beside us and said they needed to stop for fuel, and I informed them that there was a Convenience Store just up ahead at Matanzas Inlet. We pulled in, and he headed for the pumps. I pulled alongside of his bike and as he was pumping gas he looked at my Road King and said, Did you know you have a flat tire? I informed him that the comment wasn’t a bit funny. He responded that he wasn’t kidding. I got off my bike and sure enough, I had a nail in the rear tire, and it was going down fast. I thought what an awful ending to a beautiful day. Then I remembered the Extended Service Plan. After contacting Harley Davidson of St. Augustine (I could have also called the 1-800 number) a wrecker was dispatched. They picked up my bike and hauled us to St. Augustine where Donald informed me that the bike would be ready first thing in the morning (Clark and Donald stayed after closing until we arrived, which shows the quality of the People and the Dealership). The next morning, my wife and I drove (in a dang car) to the Dealership for the H.O.G. Chapter meeting and while pulling in the lot, Donald called and said the bike was ready, truly a man of his word. After the H.O.G. meeting it came time to spend the BIG Bucks for the bike repairs. Well, to my amazement, after the towing, the new tire and new tube, balancing and the labor, my cost was $2.00. That was for disposing of the bad tire. The first thing I did was locate Randy Smith and shake his hand. He truly looks after the welfare of his customers and steers them in the right direction. Without the Extended Service Plan, my bill would have been over $300.00. Next time you purchase a new bike from Harley-Davidson of St. Augustine, don’t CONSIDER the Extended Service Plan, BUY the Extended Service Plan. It will pay for itself! Just remember to take the advise of your salesman, he knows what he is talking about! A. J. "

Lon Greenwood did a fine job in covering all the aspects of the purchase and I was quite pleased with the trade in value you allowed on my 2007 Ultra. Randy Smith fully explained all the options regarding the "business" side of my purchase including extended warrantees and your newly introduced VIP service program. I am proud to be your first VIP member in the Platinum Club and already have found it to be an exceptional program for service. My new dresser is only 3 weeks old, and I was impressed with both the speed and courtesy of the service department when I called for my 1,000 mile service. "I have purchased a number of Harley-Davidsons and the last was my first with H-D of St. Augustine and it was the best buying experience I have had during a purchase. The sales person was very knowledgeable, helpful, polite and not pushy. He made the experience very easy. The service department had the bike ready to ride very quickly even with all the extras we purchased with the bike. Pipes, forward controls and windshield were installed in a very professional manner at a very reasonable price. I have also had my other scooter (H-D Electra Glide) serviced there and will continue to do so in the future. Doing business with H-D of St. Augustine was and is an enjoyable experience and one I believe you will enjoy. I have recommended that several of my friends visit and they have had good experiences also. "
